Our Story
Mini Movers Multi-Sports Sessions
Our Mini Movers Multi-Sports sessions are designed for children aged 2½ to 5 years. They’re a fun, welcoming introduction to sport and movement, with a qualified coach leading the activities and parents or carers joining in to encourage and support their child.
Each session explores different movement and ball skills through playful games and age-appropriate activities. Children can practise running, balancing, jumping and changing direction, as well as ball skills such as sending, receiving and striking. The activities vary from week to week, so there are always new things to try.
The benefits of multi-sports
Trying a variety of activities gives children the chance to discover different ways to move and play. Sessions can help children:
-
Develop coordination and balance as they move in different ways.
-
Build fundamental movement skills that can support them as they grow and try new activities.
-
Gain confidence by practising at their own pace and celebrating small achievements.
-
Explore ball skills, including rolling, throwing, catching, kicking and striking.
-
Improve listening and focus by following simple instructions and joining in with games.
-
Learn to play alongside others, take turns and work together.
-
Enjoy being active in a positive, supportive environment.
There’s no need for previous experience—just come ready to play, move and have fun. Parents and carers are an important part of the session, helping little ones feel comfortable and encouraging them as they explore each activity.
